PORTLAND, Maine -- The Altoona Curve matched their season-high with 11 runs scored on 10 hits and earned a series split with the Portland Sea Dogs in an 11-4 win on Sunday afternoon at Delta Dental Stadium at Hadlock Field.
Infielder Termarr Johnson got the Curve offense off to a hot start with a two-run homer in the first, an RBI triple in the third and a single in the seventh.
Nick Cimillo recorded a two-homer game, knocking a solo shot in the first and a two-run shot in the third.
Kervin Pichardo drove in three runs with key RBI hits in the third and seventh inning.
On the mound, Alessandro Ercolani tossed 3ª innings of two-run ball and struck out three. Justin Meis fired two scoreless innings and earned the win.
Changes
Left-handed pitcher Blake Townsned was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis, and outfielder Tres Gonzalez was brought in from Greensboro.
Saturday's game
Portland earned a 4-1 win over the Curve on Saturday night.
Righty Wilber Dotel set down the first six hitters he faced before running into third-inning trouble. The Sea Dogs used four hits and three stolen bases to score four times in the inning and take a commanding 4-1 advantage.
Dotel, in his other five innings, allowed only three base runners (one of which was an error) and took the loss despite matching his season-long outing of six innings.
The Curve offense was held to just three hits and five walks.
Lefty Tyler Samaniego tossed two scoreless innings of relief.
