Pitcher Paul Skenes will make his Double-A debut in Altoona on Saturday, Curve officials announced this afternoon.
Skenes, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ first overall pick of the 2023 MLB Draft, made two appearances in Bradenton, where he posted three shutout innings, allowing one hit, one walk and four strikeouts.
His latest outing was Sunday.
The Curve begin a six-game homestand with the Akron RubberDucks on Tuesday through Sunday. All games are at 6 p.m. except Sunday, which starts at 1 p.m.
Skenes, a right-handed pitcher who helped LSU win the 2023 College World Series, is expected to join the Curve on Tuesday.
