Rain forces Curve into playing Saturday twinbill

READING -- Altoona and Reading will play a doubleheader Saturday at First Energy Stadium

Friday's game between Reading and Altoona was postponed due to inclement weather.

The twinbill will start at 5 p.m. with a pair of seven-inning games. Righty Aaron Shortridge will start game one for the Curve with fellow righty Matt Eckelman slated for game two.

The Curve are 9-8 and in second place alone behind first-place Richmond in the Southwest Division. Reading is in last place in the Northeast Division at 5-13.

Mother Nature also knocked out the Somerset-Harrisburg game as well as the Richmond-Bowie game.

Altoona returns home to PNG Field on Tuesday, May 9, to take on the Akron RubberDucks.
