From Mirror reports

MANCHESTER, N.H. — It’s been a struggle for the Curve late in the first half, but they rallied to post one of their better victories in a while Friday night.

Altoona scored three runs in the seventh inning to steal the lead, then held on for an 8-7 win over New Hampshire at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Connor Scott’s RBI double gave the Curve a 7-6 lead in the seventh, and they added a key insurance run when Brendt Citta scored on a wild pitch.

New Hampshire threatened, scoring a run in the eighth and putting the tying run on second. But Omar Cruz got out of that jam, and Tyler Samaniego finished it off in the ninth for his fourth save. Tahnaj Thomas (3-4) won in relief for Altoona.

Henry Davis came in just 3-for-35 in Double-A, but he had RBI hits his first two at-bats early on. Citta had three hits, while Matt Fraizer and Liover Peguero had two apiece.

The Curve will wrap up first-half play Sunday, then the standings reset next week.
