GENEVA -- Former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios has tested positive for cocaine and is provisionally suspended from tennis. He posted details of the case on social media.
Kyrgios writes "I recently failed a drug test in Mallorca after testing positive for cocaine." He adds "I made a huge mistake and take full responsibility for it." The 31-year-old Australian was beaten by Novak Djokovic in the 2022 Wimbledon final but is now ranked No. 919 after a series of injuries.
Former WNBA MVP will retire
Eight-time All-WNBA forward Nneka Ogwumike says she is retiring after this season, her 15th in the league. The 36-year-old announced her intentions in an interview with Boardroom Talks.
Ogwumike was Rookie of the Year in 2012 and MVP in 2016 when she helped lead the Los Angeles Sparks to the WNBA championship. Ogwumike made the All-Star Game for an 11th time and is averaging nearly 17 points a game in her first season back with Los Angeles after two years in Seattle.
