SAN FRANCISCO -- Draymond Green has agreed to a one-year, $27.7 million deal to return to the Golden State Warriors, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
ESPN first reported the deal.
Green is now set to play his 15th season with the Warriors and if he plays in 51 games he will join Stephen Curry as the only players in franchise history to appear in at least 1,000 contests.
He has averaged 8.7 points per game in his career, along with 6.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists. He averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 68 games last season for Golden State.
Plans for Cup not liked by all
GENEVA -- FIFA President Gianni Infantino's plan to create a $20 billion company running the World Cup with private investors including the Kushner family was announced Tuesday -- and immediately attacked by European soccer body UEFA.
"It is not FIFA's to sell," UEFA said in a statement. "None of us are the owners of football."
Infantino's plans to form a commercial subsidiary, which would be called FIFA Forward Enterprise, running competitions like the World Cup and Club World Cup was first reported by The Times of London.
FIFA said in a statement FFE would raise up to $4.2 billion later this year to help fund development programs. FIFA is working with J.P. Morgan while intended investors include Josh Kushner, whose brother Jared Kushner is a son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump.
