Bucs’ Mangum goes on IL

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday placed outfielder Jake Mangum on the 10-day injured list (left hamstring strain), retroactive to May 6. Infielder-outfielder Nick Yorke was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis.

The 24-year-old Yorke is in his second stint with Pittsburgh this season. He made his first career opening day roster and hit .221 (15-for-68) with three doubles, a home run, six RBIs, seven walks and six runs scored in 23 games with the Pirates before being optioned to Indianapolis on May 1 (post-game).

Yorke had a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in three Triple-A games.
