Lady Panther strikes out 18 in no-hitter against Tussey softball

LOYSBURG -- Mylee Mitchell fired a no-hitter with 18 strikeouts as Northern Bedford downed Tussey Mountain, 9-2, in high school softball action on Tuesday.

Mitchell also hit an inside-the-park three-run home run, and Lila Mitchell drove in a run.

The Lady Tide (2-1) got two hits and three RBIs from Addyson Neiswender.

Portage outlasts NC

PORTAGE -- Portage rallied from an early 8-3 deficit and held a 20-13 lead heading to the seventh inning and hung on for a 20-19 wild win.

Portage committed 10 errors but received a home run, double and five RBIs from winning pitcher Reese Pinizzotto, a home run from Kiera McCarty and two hits and two RBIs apiece from Chloe Trusik, Mikaila McCoy and Adasyn Trusik.
