WILLIAMSBURG — William Lower pitched six shutout innings, striking out five, walking three and scattering six hits to lead the Williamsburg High School baseball team to a 6-4 win over Ferndale on Friday.
The Blue Pirates (1-2) also got two hits and two RBIs from Lower to go with two hits and an RBI from Konner Harker.
Ferndale (1-2) got three hits and an RBI from Brady Ferenchik.

MARTINSBURG — Brody Mellott struck out nine and allowed no earned runs to help Central even its record at 2-2 with an 11-1 six-inning victory over Central Cambria.
Mellott also collected three hits and two RBIs. Other offensive leaders for the Dragons were Troy McNichol (two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs), Adam Loucks (two hits), Jesse Muthler (two hits, three runs) and Coltin Harbaugh (three RBIs).
Rocco Barra and Mason Pittsinger each had two hits for the Red Devils.

TYRONE — Tyrone scored seven runs in the first inning en route to a 16-1, four-inning win over Bishop Carroll.
The Golden Eagles (2-1) got three hits and an RBI from freshman Reid Starr to go with two hits and two RBIs from Brayden Parsons. Teammate Colton Frye added two hits and two RBIs to go with Ben Walk’s two hits and an RBI. Jon Stroup also had two RBIs.
Ethan Holtz had two hits and an RBI for the Huskies (0-3).
