THE SCOOP: Penn Cambria nearly shocked everyone in this bracket last season by entering as the fifth and final seed and led eventual champion Forest Hills for parts of the District 6 championship game before falling. This year, it's anybody's title to win.

WHO THEY'LL PLAY IN INTERDISTRICTS: 6-1 vs. 4-3; 6-2 vs. 7-3

ANALYSIS: Penn Cambria has beaten three of the other teams in this bracket -- Forest Hills, Tyrone and Westmont Hilltop and beaten the first two by large margins -- but the Lady Rangers always play their best basketball this time of the year and have been playing as well as anyone in the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference since the end of January.

Penn Cambria seems to be the deepest team in the bracket and like years past can come at teams in waves, which keeps the Lady Panthers fresh and makes it tough to key on any one player.

Tyrone was supposed to be led by senior Alayna Woomer, but she suffered a season-ending injury early in the season. Following a tough stretch, her cousin -- sophomore Lola Woomer -- has emerged as a star and helped the Lady Eagles have a successful season along with solid veterans like Claire Lehman and Rylan Crowell. Brielle Parker is a wild card for Tyrone and can have a special night to help Tyrone pull an upset if needed.

It seemed like this would finally be the year Forest Hills fell back to the pack, but after hovering around .500 for most of the season, the Lady Rangers beat Bishop McCort, Central Cambria, Johnstown, Marion Center and Bishop Carroll Catholic in the span of two weeks and come into the postseason healthy with senior leadership from 1,000-point scorer Aivah Maul.

Westmont Hilltop shouldn't be disregarded as a contender, as the Lady Hilltoppers have played a lot of good teams closely, but they also are a young team that hasn't been part of a playoff run yet, and Juniata doesn't play against the same type of schedule as the other four schools in this bracket do.

Depth and versatility make Penn Cambria the favorite here, but in a one-and-done tournament with teams this closely matched, anything could happen.
