UNIVERSITY PARK -- Pen State junior ice hockey player Reese Laubach was named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week following his performances against Michigan this past weekend.

Laubach earned his first weekly accolade and the fourth of his career.

He paced the Big Ten with three goals and four points over the weekend registering a pair of multi-point games in a 4-4 tie.

Laubach scored twice in a loss on Saturday marking his second multi-goal effort of the season and the sixth of his career. The junior has now scored in four of his last five games with five goals over that span.

He ranks sixth on the team in scoring with 21 points on nine goals and 12 assists in 28 games.

Oneacre shines

UNIVERSITY PARK -- Penn State softball freshman Allison Oneacre secured both D1Softball and Softball America National Freshman of the Week accolades this week.

She batted .583 in helping her team go 4-1 at the Houston Invitational. She also hit four home runs in the five games, and added 21 total bases.

Oneacre's slugging percentage for the tourney was 1.750 and her OPS was a 2.450. She also finished with 10 RBIs.
