25 years ago — Dec. 26, 2000: Bellwood-Antis beat Portage, 51-38, with Kevin Conlon scoring 17, and Central Cambria beat Bishop Carroll, 55-45, with Mike Persio scoring 26. The two winners were to meet in the County Seat Tournament championship.

10 years ago — Dec. 26, 2015: High school football senior scholar athletes Nate Hagg of Bishop Guilfoyle and Cameron Nagle of Bellwood-Antis were among those chosen by the Western PA Football Conference. The conference was 92 years old.
