PSU football gets 3 on Big Ten third team

UNIVERSITY PARK — The Big Ten released its all-conference football team on Wednesday and three players were named to the third team while eight others received honorable mention status.
Making the third team were senior defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton, junior linebacker Amare Campbell and senior punter Gabriel Nwosu.
Dennis-Sutton posted a career-best seven tackles against Oregon this season and 2.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss against Nevada. Dennis-Sutton also forced two fumbles against Nevada. He became the first Nittany Lion with a blocked punt in back-to-back games in a season.
Campbell led the Nittany Lions in tackles this season with 96, 57 of which were solo efforts. He had 9.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and one fumble recovery. He is the only Big Ten player with 90-plus tackles and 9.5-plus tackles for loss this season.
Nwosu averaged 46.11 yards per punt this season, the best ever in program history. He had 10 50-yard-plus punts and placed 14 of them inside the 20 and seven more inside the 10.
Making the honorable mention list were Zane Durant (DT), A.J. Harris (CB), King Mack (S), Zakee Wheatley (S), Audavion Collins (CB), Ryan Barker (K), Tyler Duzansky (LS) and Nicholas Singleton (RB).
