Lady Dragons basketball cruises to victory No. 2

MARTINSBURG — The Central girls basketball team improved to 2-5 Wednesday night, thanks to a 51-25 win at Philipsburg-Osceola in high school action.

The Lady Dragons, up 20-5 after one quarter, received 16 points from Addison Imes to go with 12 points from Adyson Poet.

The Lady Mounties (1-3) were led by Lakyn Davenport and Kaycie Hughes with six points each.

Lady Huskies win again

EBENSBURG — Bishop Carroll remained perfect, this time improving to 8-0 with a 61-30 win over Somerset.

The Lady Huskies, who led 42-15 at halftime, got 21 points from Emily Lucko while teammate Ava Pablic contributed 15 points. Adelyn Myers chipped in with 10 points.

Somerset (2-4) was led by Eve Housely’s nine points.

Mustangs earn road win

JOHNSTOWN — Portage is 5-2 after its 53-28 victory at Conemaugh Township.

The Lady Mustangs, who led 22-11 after one quarter and 42-17 at halftime, got 17 points from Kendall Bednarski. Teammate Jada Irvin added nine points. As a team, they hit 10 3-pointers in the first half, with Bednarski and Irvin each hitting three of them.

The Lady Indians (2-7) 11 points from Mayce Kordell.
