50 years ago: Aug. 6, 1975 — The East beat the West, 8-7, in the Hollidaysburg Teener League All-Star baseball game with Paul Teeter hitting a double and triple for the winners.

25 years ago: Aug. 6, 2000 — Thomas Chevrolet shut out Ben May Excavating, 10-0, in Greater City League baseball playoff action at Vets Field, giving each team one win in the best-of-three series. Jay Baker pitched a one-hitter, striking out 11 while Marco Randazzo went 4-for-4 at the plate.

10 years ago: Aug. 6, 2015 — Conrad Chiropractic/Lilly American Legion beat Locker Room, 9-3, in the second of the best-of-three Greater City Baseball League playoffs at Vets Field. P.J. Holberg got the win and Landon Sinclair collected three hits for Lilly.
