Franklin’s remarks need some coaching

I would like to see Pat Kraft have a discussion with James Franklin about his press conferences and comments.

Franklin very rarely actually talks about football, and his continual banter about the other team’s players and coaches is really off-putting.

I get that he wants to tell everyone he studies the opponent, and how good they are, but he need not tell us about how he knows and has worked with seemingly everyone in the profession.

And have a little emotional intelligence.

I know he is smart and uses his voice to ask for things he wants in the program. That’s all well and good, if he is sending a message to his own boss or school, but to start talking about conferences, and his view on independent programs before the game, was just not a good look.

I am glad Neil Rudel called him out on it.

Beat them, then you can pontificate all you want.

Funny he likes to talk about “controlling things you can control” but then speaks about Notre Dame’s independence, and how everyone should be in a conference; something seemingly well out of his control.
