Top-seeded Julia Ritchey of Central and second seed Marley Ratchford of Central Cambria will meet Wednesday for the District 6 Class 2A singles championship as they earned two victories apiece on Monday morning at Summit Athletic Club to set up a rematch of last year's title match.
After receiving byes in the round of 16, Ritchey and Ratchford made quick work of their opponents as Ritchey defeated Lucia Yuhas of Forest Hills (6-1, 6-1) in the quarterfinals before beating fourth seed Lydia Paskowski of Central Cambria (6-1, 6-2) in the semifinals.
Ratchford, who won last year's championship in a close battle (6-4, 2-6, 7-5), had no trouble with Westmont Hilltop's Celia Hong (6-1, 6-1) in the quarters or of Tyrone's Nicole Ramsey (6-1, 6-0) in the semis.
The time for the championship is to be determined.
Ramsey got past Huntingdon's Rachel Boonie (6-1, 6-3) in the round of 16 and Bishop McCort's Julia Vittone (6-1. 6-0) in the quarterfinals, while Paskowski handled McCort's C.C. Saucedo (6-2, 6-1) and Tyrone's Emma Witkamp (6-1, 6-2). Witkamp made it to the quarters after beating Isabella Parrish of Westmont (7-5, 6-3).
Third-seeded Kate Dunn of Central was upset by Vittone (6-4, 6-4) in the round of 16.

A Bellwood sweep
PATTON -- Bellwood-Antis swept both the boys and girls races against Cambria Heights as the boys delivered a 26-32 win, while the girls had a 24-33 victory.
The Highlanders' Levi Kline claimed the boys race in 23:01, which was 44 seconds ahead of teammate Mason Kline. Domanick Haler of the Blue Devils was third in 24:01.
Savannah Hoover of CH came out in front on the girls side finishing in 24:17 which was over a minute before Bellwood's Blake Pennington who crossed in 25:31.
