TYRONE -- Central Cambria's Dom Kuntz placed first in a field of 96 high school boys runners to win the Saint Francis Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
Both the Central Cambria boys and girls won the team titles.
Kuntz finished with a time of 17 minutes, 47.2 seconds. Teammates Ethan Haycisak (third), Reed Takacs (sixth) and Derek McConnell (10th) also placed in the top 10.
The Central Cambria girls won in a field of 13 teams with Paige Alexander (second), Alaina Long (fifth), Morgan Brandis (seventh), Abigail Sheehan (eighth) and Keira Link (10th) placing in the top 10.
Bedford's Chloe May won the girls race in 18:42.8, Juniata Valley's Ella McCrum was third, Cambria Heights' Savannah Hoover was fourth, and Williamsburg's Ava Dixon finished ninth.
The event also had races for middle school students for boys and girls.
