Ellie Filer shot a 45 to claim medalist honors as Altoona went 1-1 on the afternoon with a 157-163 win over State College, and a 155-157 loss to River Valley in girls high school golf at Park Hills Golf Club.

Tigers sweep
PHILIPSBURG -- Crosby Denis and Maliah Malausky of Hollidaysburg shared medalist honors by each shooting a 45 as the Lady Golden Tigers defeated the field with a team score of 138 during a nine-hole event at Philipsburg Elks Country Club in girls high school golf.
Central Cambria finished second with 145 behind a 48 from both Jazmine Boland and Samantha Hill, while Philipsburg-Osceola was third with 156 and Bishop Guilfoyle ended with a 165 led by Ava Bagley's 49.

Grace Muriceak, Sarah Neatrour and Sarah Urban claimed singles victories for the Lady Tigers (6-0), while the teams of Lily Grosser-Taylor Eardley and Grier Morris-Sophia Zangrilli came out on top in doubles play.

Altoona won for the third time in four matches by earning a 5-0 sweep over St. Mary's in girls high school tennis at Mansion Park.
Isabella Graham, Courtney Irwin and Skylar Irwin took the singles matches, while the teams of Emma Hovan-Andie Adams and Kaylee Swain-Oriana Dent had no problems in doubles play.
