HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Altoona girls edged out Hollidaysburg in a tightly contested high school cross country meet on Wednesday.
Ashlyn Noce won the race in 20 minutes, 8 seconds to help the Lady Lions prevail, 27-28. Rylan Carney finished second for Hollidaysburg, which beat Penn Cambria, 15-50.
Altoona's Andrew Quinn won the boys race in leading the Mountain Lions to a 24-31 win over Hollidaysburg. Reuben Manfred placed second for the Tigers, who beat Penn Cambria, 15-50.

LILLY -- The Central Cambria boys and girls beat Central at Lilly War Memorial Park.
Dom Kuntz, Ethan Haycisak, Derek McConnell, Reed Takacs and Sam Brannigan all finished within 1 second of each other in helping the CC boys prevail, 15-50.
Central's Lanee Berkhimer won the girls race in 19:06, but the Lady Dragons did not field a full team. Abigail Sheehan and Alainia Sheehan finished 2-3 for the Lady Devils.

BLAIRSVILLE -- The Cambria Heights girls knocked off Portage, 25-31, and River Valley, 26-29.
Savannah Hoover of Heights won the girls race with Portage's Josephine White second. The Portage girls beat RV, 23-32.
The Heights boys edged Portage, 28-30 and beat Kiski Prep, 23-35, but fell to River Valley, 20-35. The Portage boys edged Kiski, 27-30 but fell to River Valley, 27-30. The RV boys completed a sweep with a 19-36 win over Kiski.
Logan Gentile and Nolan Westover of Portage finished 1-2 in the boys race.
