The next time James Franklin reviews video with his team, he may want to point out that you only get six points for a touchdown.
There are no extra points added for somersaulting into the end zone or for flexing, posing or waving a finger to the crowd. There are no style points given.
What it ought to get a player is a seat on the bench.
If you succeed on the field, go to the bench and be grateful you helped the team.
But then I guess times have changed.
Big games are either won or lost by being disciplined and respectful.
Nowadays, it is all about me or NIL.

Franklin must look to future
Here's the difference: Elite coaches like Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney, etc. are not worried about being loved by the team.
They prefer to be respected.
They make the difficult decisions about personnel, sometimes in the middle of big games, and bench anyone not playing well enough to make the team win.
Franklin wants to loved by his locker room -- the players' coach who gets so emotionally attached to the individuals, he becomes blinded by the loyalty.
Penn State's season goals are gone.
We are not winning the Big Ten East, not making the Big Ten title game, not making the College Football Playoff.
There's no reason to keep playing Sean Clifford. If Franklin truly wants to improve the program, there's no excuse for it to not be Drew Allar's time.
But that's a difficult decision, which is why Franklin won't make it.
Enough with his crybaby excuses. We played well enough to win against Ohio State. We are a top-tier QB away from taking the next step.
For the future of the program, Franklin needs to step up or look for love somewhere else.

Dodgers let longtime fan down
I have been a Dodgers' fan since 1955.
I have never seen them play so badly in the playoffs as these last two years.
They could not figure out the Padres' bullpen.
They had no spark in the playoffs.
The whole team looked like they were in the Twilight Zone.
They are still my team, and as the Dodgers of old would say, "Wait until next year."
I'll be a loyal Dodgers' fan forever.
