On Dec. 6, 2025, the Franciscan Friars, T.O.R., concluded their yearly celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Province of the Immaculate Conception.

The Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Altoona, with Bishop Mark Bartchak presiding and the Very Rev. Fr. Frank Scornaienchi, T.O.R, Minister Provincial and pastor as the homilist.

Many friars from the Immaculate Conception Province and Sacred Heart Province were in attendance, as well as guests and parishioners. The friars have served in many ministries in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. They also have served in many dioceses in the United States and missions in Paraguay, Bangladesh, and South Africa. A reception was held at the Altoona Grand Hotel.
