Sydney Sue Packard, 70, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Harold and Jacqueline (Schroeder) Packard. She is survived by a son, Stephen Justice in New York; a daughter, Melissa Ruberto (Jacob) in Florida; grandchildren, Jax and Davis Ruberto; and siblings: Harold Packard Jr., Pam Glass and Lee Packard. She was preceded in death by siblings: Debbie Lykens, Wilbur and Max Packard. A private burial will be held at Carson Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.

Joseph C. Boley, 94, of Altoona, a native of Gallitzin, died Jan. 24, 2026. He was born in Amsbry, son of the late Nelson and Zita Boley. He was also preceded in death by his siblings; and grandson, Joseph Berardinelli. Surviving are his wife, Romaine; and children: Colleen Berardinelli, Jeffrey Boley and Celeste McMahon; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran.
