Judith C. Pursley, 81, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Mill Hall, daughter of the late Herbert and Zelphia (Walker) Confer. She married Ray Pursley II, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2019. Surviving are two sons, David J. (Jen) and Michael R.; and two grandchildren, Ethan Jin and Mia Soo. Johanna C. Romano, 101, of Tyrone, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026. She was born in Spike Island, near Osceola Mills, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Klimchalk) Palochko. On May 31, 1947, at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Houtzdale, she was married to Ralph J. Romano (Tyrone High School, Class of 1940).
