War sometimes a necessary action

It is no surprise that President Donald Trump’s recent military actions were met with some skepticism. Wars are unsettling to the public mood, destructive to property and deadly to humans. We naturally abhor those things. A Mirror reporter used two local professors to detail their doubts and displeasure with President Trump’s actions. The SAVE Act recently passed the House of Representatives and is currently under consideration in the Senate. It is intended to solve the problem of illegal noncitizen voting, which Republicans claim is rampant. This is bogus. New costs for Blair Township businesses

As a business owner in Blair Township, I am writing to express serious concern regarding the proposal by newly elected Township Supervisor Jacob Wible to impose a per-machine “licensing fee” on businesses operating Skills machines. Though described as a licensing fee, its practical effect is an additional tax on small businesses. Regardless of terminology, it creates a new financial burden for locally owned establishments already coping with rising costs for utilities, insurance, payroll and property expenses. Are they really SAVEing America?

State Rep. Glenn Thompson and state Sen. Mike McCormick would have us believe that non-citizens are committing election fraud by voting illegally. Both back the SAVE America Act — legislation requiring you and me to provide documentation of citizenship each time we vote, whether in person or by mail. Why? In the coming weeks we should not be surprised to hear the President announce that Venezuelan President, Nicholas Maduro has confirmed that they interfered in the 2020 election. And that the interference was in blue counties and states, confirming that the 2020 election was stolen.
