It takes much more than a race team to bring another successful Angie Gioiosa 4th of July Race to downtown Altoona.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time before, during and after the race; our generous sponsors; our setup crew; and our race timer for helping make the event run smoothly.
A special thank you goes to the Mishler Theatre for opening their doors for the day before race packet pickup; the volunteers from the Cathedral for providing a wonderful food setup, along with cold watermelon and popsicles that were enjoyed by so many participants and spectators.
We are also grateful to Mayor Matt Pacifico, the Altoona Police Department, Altoona Fire Department and AMED for their support and presence throughout the event.
And most importantly, thank you to the more than 1,000 participants who joined us this year. Without your enthusiasm and support, this event would not be possible. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you.
