If one compares the words that Pete Hegseth uses and the words used by Taliban or Iranian leaders, it is difficult to determine a difference in their perspectives of the value of nonbelievers and how they should be treated. They believe that it is their duty to convert, eliminate or exclude nonbelievers. Each accepts the use of the sword to bring the "others" to yield to their way of thinking and living. There is no mercy shown to nonbelievers. It is Christian Sharia Law although Hegseth and his like can't see it. They are the same as their perceived enemies. Blind.
Hegseth takes this belief further in that he believes only white males are worthy. His multiple actions solidify this belief. It is a foundational belief in exclusion. He calls himself a Christian, but can he be if he believes in exclusion?
A foundational tenet of Christianity is inclusion. Jesus gathered all who wanted to hear without exclusion. Each person was welcomed as they were. Questions of beliefs, position or origin were not asked. All were welcome.
In Trump's America, we have become a country of exclusion. No one is welcome who is not like these leaders. We have left We the People far behind and are now Some of the People. In fact, very few people. Our policy is exclusion.
For a country who many say is built as a Christian nation, how can a nation be called Christian if it is exclusionary?
