It's incredible how some people agonize over falling behind financially then sabotage their own economic interests by electing Republicans.
You know who you are.
The GOP distracts you from the damage of its pro-business agenda on your standard of living with bogus issues that smother rational thought. They purposely enrage and frighten because they know nothing motivates voters like fear and anger. If you doubt it look what happened Nov. 4.
They convince you bogeymen like trans people and gays threaten your children and America and only they can save everyone from these fiends. Know how silly that is?
About 1% of Americans age 13 and older identify as trans. Two percent as gay. Pretty sad if so few people can imperil an entire nation. And irrational.
Their latest bogeymen are the dog-eating illegal immigrants. Yeah, they're out there in the produce fields and fruit orchards making sure you don't get ahead in life.
Here's the point: None of their bogeymen -- LGBTQ+, immigrant, DEI, woke, pronouns, guns--affect your standard of living one iota. They do succeed in suckering you into voting for a party that enriches the wealthy class while keeping its boot on working families' throats.
Their low-wage, union-busting, anti-worker successes allow CEOs to rake in millions while you struggle to make ends meet. And when you can't, you scream, "Those damn immigrants!" Just as they planned.
Fact is, the blame for your situation lies solely with your inability to see those bogeymen for what they really are.
