GOP has forgotten nation’s roots

In a recent Mirror ad by the Republican County Committee, it touted that “It’s a great time to be a Republican.”

Such a statement is far from true or accurate. As a registered Republican, I am mortified and embarrassed to be associated with such a party.

The present party has been captured and controlled by despicable uncaring members led by that lying dictator Trump.

He and his GOP cronies have worked to control the media and do everything to support the wealthy. The party has abandoned the average person by slashing programs and positions that work for the benefit of all.

The elected leaders refuse to work in a bipartisan way to produce meaningful legislation and programs for the good of the country.

The GOP has forgotten that our nation was founded and progressed on the backs of immigrants.

Rather than work to design meaningful immigration policies they have supported and championed the thugs who are hassling every day American citizens.

I am not proud to be a Republican. I long for the days when the GOP was controlled by moderate, caring people. I implore Republicans to once again support candidates and policies that work for the people and not for a dishonest, lying, disoriented man.
