As a child, I was taught that we shouldn't attack those we disagreed with and that a basic level of respect must rule any interaction.
Clearly, many parents don't subscribe to this position anymore or their kids have been indoctrinated by their obtuse professors to hate anyone outside of their particular political party.
If you think it's OK to kill those who speak from a point of view that you don't agree with, you are an extremist. If you are an educator and insist that your students parrot your own political beliefs, you are part of the problem.
If you are a professional of any kind and can't keep your politics to yourself during business hours, you are a problem.
If you rejoice in the misfortune of others, you are the problem. If you believe that intolerance and violence are acceptable solutions if they support your goals, you're most definitely part of the problem.
In sum, emotional maturity is sadly lacking anymore, while violence and retaliation are seen as acceptable alternatives by the weak. Makes you wonder why those who accuse others of fascism are now the worst purveyors of it. Any way we could all take a breath and stop this? Asking for a friend.
