I support Lou Schmitt to be our next judge of the Blair County Court of Common Pleas.
I have known Lou for over 50 years. We both grew up on Dutch Hill and spent many hours playing basketball at 2nd Ward's tot lot. Even at that young age, I knew he had a propensity in the field of law. Not only did his hard work and dedication develop him into a premier basketball player, but he also became a leader and role model.
His experience as a state representative, mediator and lawyer provide the leadership we need to guide Blair County into the safe haven that we all remember growing up.
Fair, honest, tough and compassionate -- these are the components that exemplify a good judge. These are the traits Lou preaches and practices everyday.
