I have been around elected officials for most of my life. I have never met someone with the rare combination of qualities and talents possessed by Lou Schmitt.

He has a razor-sharp intellect. He is articulate. He is personable. He is a hard worker. He is tenacious. Time and again he has proven to be absolutely fearless when it comes to protecting the interests of the people of Blair County. It’s no wonder he has been such a successful courtroom lawyer and state representative. He is also incredibly loyal. No one could have a better friend than Lou.

He cares about the people around him and making the world we live in a better place for all of us. He is everything we should look for in our public servants. He is everything we should look for on our bench. I believe Lou Schmitt was born to be a Judge.
