When Donald Trump went into his second term, he appointed Elon Musk to root out waste, fraud and abuse in our government; here is some he missed. Trump has cost taxpayers $10 million playing golf 10 days out of his first 30 days in office.
In his first term, he cost taxpayers $47 million for his golfing. He cost the taxpayers $15 million to go to the Super Bowl and his trip to Daytona 500 cost taxpayers between $4 million and $20 million.
He froze funding for the CFPB and USAID. He wants to cut funding for agriculture by $230 billion, the education workforce by $330 billion, oversight and government reform by $50 billion, transportation and infrastructure by $10 billion and 80,000 job cuts at the VA. He's cutting jobs at the FBI, the CIA and the whole federal workforce. He wants to cut $880 billion out of Medicaid. There are 72 million people who rely on Medicaid, including 69,000 people in our area.
Bashing President Zelenskyy in the Oval Office to extract precious metals from him and then cutting off military intelligence and weapon supplies sounds like bribery. Removing General C. Q. Brown as the appointed Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff and the top Inspector Generals of the other branches of the services was uncalled for and probably illegal.
Russia has been grooming Trump since 1987 when he went to Moscow with his first wife, and so far, it's been working out quite well for Putin.
His first term was a disaster with his tax cuts for the rich and his slow and no response to COVID-19 resulting in death for almost a million citizens. This second term is slowly becoming worse. Trump is throwing America under the bus for Putin's benefit.
