I want to praise the Altoona Area High School's production of "The Little Mermaid." With all the children in the audience, I never heard any crying, whining, screaming, fighting, etc.
I believe they were all transfixed as I was. I still can't get over the fact that these kids range ninth to 12th grade. The scenery, the props, the puppets (especially the flamingos) and that music.
I can't get that music out of my head and I don't want to. The entire cast was unbelievably great, but I want to send a great big shout out to Trevor Wilson and his role as "Sebastian the crab."
He was in the show from the beginning to the end and captured the Jamaican accent perfectly. He never missed the beat or line and that puppet really had wonderful facial expressions, especially when he fainted. Kudos to everyone involved, you made one glorious night for us all!
