Animal entertainment, such as circuses, happen all over the world. However, we must think about the moral issues and the well-being of the animals, especially when tigers live and are transported in cages only 4x5x6 feet, says Contemporary Hospitality Management.
According to Animals Asia, many animals in circuses are kept in small cages that do not provide enough space for them to move around and behave naturally. For example, elephants are forced to perform these actions by being beaten with bullhooks, which breaks their spirit and forces them to comply.
Unfortunately, harsh techniques are commonly used to make animals obey commands. CHP states animals, like humans, feel fear and stress, and forcing them to perform can lead to behaviors that are harmful to their health.
Animal entertainment can send the wrong message to the public, especially to children. It teaches viewers that it is acceptable to use animals for amusement without considering their feelings.
Instead of enjoying animals for entertainment, humans should appreciate them in their natural habitats or through documentaries, where they can live freely, just as they were meant to.
While animal entertainment might seem fun, it is essential to consider the serious problems it creates for the animals involved.
It is time to rethink how we interact with wildlife and find more compassionate ways to enjoy animals without causing them harm.
