Trump is punishment for our immorality
In response to William Padamonsky Sr.’s letter to the editor, Feb. 5. Mr. Padamonsky, you got it right. I agree with everything you said. Donald Trump openly stated that he was going to be a dictator on his first day in office. He even began his takeover of our country before he was sworn in as president.
He has all of the Republican Senators/Representatives so afraid of him that they will kowtow to his every wish, SCOTUS is under his control, he is Commander-in-Chief of the military, and he is using “Executive Orders” to get his dirty work done.
What else does he need? Believe me, this man will never leave the White House.
We can complain, write letters to the editor, demonstrate, and try to sue him, but it will not have any effect what-so-ever.
Do you think Hitler, Putin, Kim Jong Un, or Xi Jinping would step down because people did those things? Not hardly; they are either in jail or have mysteriously disappeared. So why does Trump want the identities of those courageous men and women who tried to protect the Capitol on Jan. 6? You can be sure that it’s not to congratulate them for a job well done.
I don’t think those who voted for him realize what they’ve done, and I’m sure most of them were duped into actually believing that he is God’s gift to America, and you cannot change their minds.
Maybe God did put him in office, and if He did, it wasn’t to save America, but to punish our growing immorality.
Get ready America, we’re in for a ride.
