Trump 2.0 fails to impress thus far
It’s been more than two weeks since Donald Trump took the presidential oath — with his hand conspicuously not on the Bible — the grifter’s equivalent of a kid crossing his fingers behind his back, while pretending to “swear to God” he is telling the truth.
In the chaotic, dystopian days since Jan. 20, the price of eggs, gas and medications are up.
Bird flu is beginning to hit our nation hard, but Trump has muzzled the CDC, NIH and pulled the United States out of the World Health Organization. None of these moves help Americans; rather, they keep us uninformed and pose a clear and present danger to our nation’s health.
Tom Homan’s squads have been unleashed on innocent people who have committed fewer and lesser crimes than did the 1,500 insurrectionists pardoned by the orange menace.
Already, the overseer of Mar-a-Lago has taken time off to play golf and hosted GOP members of Congress at his estate, all on our, the taxpayers’, dime.
Again, he’s put on full display his gross lack of intelligence, his unwillingness to accept responsibility, and his complete absence of anything resembling empathy in the wake of the tragic mid-air collision near Reagan National Airport.
Oh, and that war in Ukraine that he said he would “end in 24 hours?” It’s still ongoing. Welcome to Trump 2.0. Feeling duped yet?
