Pardons should be rescinded

Donald Trump pardoned the convicted Jan. 6 “hostages” who violently attacked the U.S. Capital and injured many law enforcement professionals on duty that day. He then goes on to proclaim, “I am a friend of police, more than any president who has been in this office.” Really.

During his first term, he pardoned Charles Kushner, his daughters’ father-in-inlaw. In his second term, he appointed him as our ambassador to France. Was there no better choice?

President Biden pardoned his son, Hunter. He also commuted the sentence of “kids for cash” Judge Michael Conahan. Unacceptable.

Too bad pardons can’t be rescinded.
