To save Democracy, Trump must lose

On Jan. 6, 2021, after refusing to accept the results of the election, Donald Trump encouraged his supporters to overthrow the government so he could retain power.

Then, he asserted that as President, he was above the law and thus immune from criminal prosecution for his role in this insurrection.

Although this argument flies in the face of the Constitution, the rule of law and the entire premise of limited government, earlier this year, the Supreme Court agreed with it, paving the way for an authoritarian system of government in which the President’s power is virtually unlimited.

I may not be a fan of Kamala Harris, but if we want to have any hope of saving our republic and maintaining a limited government bound by laws, Donald Trump must be defeated in November.

This election is about whether the U.S. will remain a constitutional republic or become an autocracy.
