One of the most critical lessons any teacher can stress is the importance of participatory citizenship.
I am writing in support of an individual I had the privilege of teaching at Altoona Area School District who is now seeking a position on the school board, Justin McCaulley.
Undoubtedly, McCaulley has the demeanor and understanding of what our district needs that will lead to a stronger school community due to being the husband of a small business owner and father of two children in the district.
He sees the importance of making sure the board advocates for our students, teachers, staff and administrators and works with local businesses.
Like many in the community, McCaulley also sees the need for attracting and retaining good teachers, maybe one of the biggest challenges our schools are facing today.
Please consider using one of your five votes for Justin McCaulley.
