Compassion, integrity necessary to govern

The “Chaos of Trump” is now full-blown. If it continues to be unaddressed and unchecked, it will become more difficult to correct. Hasty judgment and dangerous decisions have already resulted in a multitude of deaths.

When the majority in power stands idle and permits the Constitution to be violated by the president and his staff, it tears at the structure that supports our valued freedoms. “We the people,” not a dictator or king rule this land.

Many were never fooled by the lies and there is a growing awakening among those who ignored the many lies because they focused only on the empty promises. Our citizens, especially those in power, need to put our country’s needs above their own.

The attempt to abolish our government has spread like a dangerous virus. Soon it will be unstoppable as it was in Germany before WWII.

We should acknowledge that the majority of our elected officials, most certainly our president, lack compassion, integrity and honor. These qualities are necessary for those chosen persons who are the guardians of our precious freedom. These virtues of true leadership are too often replaced with personal gains and self gratification.

It’s time for change and time to stop using the faults and mistakes of our past leaders as an excuse. America’s beginning wasn’t without flaws, but we have the ability to correct those flaws.
