If you have not heard of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), you will, as a massive push by governments towards a cashless, all-digital financial system is in full force.
The source of CBDCs are central banks. Although many have quasi-sounding titles like our Federal Reserve, they are owned by private and very powerful banking families.
Today, plans hatched in meetings of globalists -- like the World Economic Forum (WEF) -- will transition the world economy to cashless prior to 2030- less than seven years from now.
It will be presented to the public as a benefit, allowing faster payments and secure transactions. But a Trojan Horse lurks.
The following examples sound straight out of a dystopian novel, or "tinfoil hat" conspiracy. But all are happening in other countries right now, and the push will soon reach the U.S.
China established the "digital Yuan," and outlawed cryptocurrency mining and trading in 2021. Boasting 850 million facial recognition cameras -- half of the world's supply -- Chinese citizens are required to link their bank accounts to two financial apps.
If people so much as jaywalk in a major city, their phone alerts, and fines are automatically withdrawn from their accounts.
Both China and the United Arab Emirates already assign "social credit scores" to their populations.
If citizens post anything negative towards their leadership on social media -- or affiliate with groups deemed "dangerous" -- their scores are diminished.
Low scores prohibit violators from buying goods or traveling. In China, the phones of fellow citizens alert when a person of low social credit score is near.
Excerpts from WEF meetings are alarming, as globalist leaders openly discuss "expiry dates" for digital currency.
Meaning, if money becomes entirely digital, banks can set dates when it will expire. People receiving their hard-earned paychecks will only have a set amount of time to spend their money before it disappears.
This could prevent families saving for vacations or college tuition for their children, or paying off mortgages early. We will relinquish all long-term goals and live paycheck to paycheck.
Americans who believe they can avoid this fate by living in the countryside should be mindful of Thailand's proposed digital currency, only valid within so many kilometers of a person's home.
Rural residents may be pushed closer to controlled cities if the goods and services they need are only available there.
This future can be slowed by local businesses continuing to accept cash payments, and all of us foregoing the convenience of credit cards to still pay with dollars when possible.
Be aware of the dangers of Central Bank Digital Currencies. A since-deleted tweet from the WEF stated, "Welcome to 2030. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better."
This dystopian future is around the corner if we do not stand together to protect the freedoms that make America special.
