Deborah L. Dickson, 69, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2026, at her residence after an extended illness. Dennis W. Maher

Dennis W. Maher, 73, Duncansville, died Monday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late William and Thelma (Ritchey) Maher. Surviving are sons, Daniel and Joseph (April); grandchildren: Blaze, Cordelia, Madison, Brooke and Paige; and his companion, Vicki Bridenbaugh. Dennis was a 1971 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and served with the National Guard. Dennis enjoyed NASCAR, comic books, model railroading and fishing. Friends will be received from 5 until the 7 p.m. service Monday, May 4, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville.

Sonja M. (Ott) Whitpan, 86, passed away Wednesday at her home in Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ellis and Gertrude (Burger) Teeter. Surviving are children: Darlene Ott-Hale, Linda Adler, James E. Ott and Carol Rouzer; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy A. Wilkinson.
