John Natalie

John Natalie, 84, Houtzdale, died Friday. He was born Osceola Mills, son of Frank and Marie (Sidorick) Natalie. On Sept. 30, 1976, he married Nancy (Greenaway). In addition to his wife, surviving are a daughter, Susan; a son, John Jr.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Jeanne, Vera and Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dawn; and two brothers, Emanuel and Ronald. A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.

Douglas D. Drake, 77, of Cresson, passed away Thursday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel D. Drake and Olga A. (Pozycki) Drake; and his brothers, Gary W. Drake and Paul W. Drake. Douglas is survived by his wife of 32 years, Brenda (Weaver) Drake; sibling, Té Drake; sons, Roman G. Drake and Miles E. Drake; and daughter, Olivia R. Drake. Helen (Amick) Fowkes, 99 ½, of Lawrenceville, N.J., passed away at her home comforted by her daughter, Amy Aileen Fowkes; and her grandchildren, Cody Butler and Zane Zapata. Helen was born in Wells Tannery, Pa. She was raised in Claysburg and married her high school sweetheart, William Fowkes, on March 27, 1946. After traveling around the United States and the world with her Air Force husband and four children, she and Bill retired and moved to Blue Knob, near their relatives in the central Pa. area.
