Evelyn N. (White) Monahan

Evelyn N. (White) Monahan, 82, of Lakemont, passed away Friday at her residence. The daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Mountain) White, she married Thomas Monahan, who preceded her death in 2022. Surviving is her son, Mark Yingling, of Portage. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, May 5, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at noon. Private interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.

Joyce M. Romine

A celebration in memory of Joyce M. Romine, who died Jan. 17, 2025, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park banquet hall, 201 S. Walnut St., Martinsburg. Rose Elaine (McGarry) Stewart, 78, of Gallitzin, passed away April 30, 2025, in her home. She was born Oct. 13, 1946, daughter of John and Evelyn McGarry. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband of 32 years, Kenneth; daughters, Sonya Harvey and Jennifer Chappell; and brother, Thomas Harker. She is survived by sons, Joseph and Keith Feeney; daughter, Ronda Amsler; sisters, Sara Clossin and Frances Wachnicki; brother, Chet Harker; as well as multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Terry Ray Bookhammer Sr., 80, Williamsburg, died Thursday. He was born in Altoona, son of George W.J. and Ruth Elizabeth (Burd) Bookhammer. Surviving are four children: Timothy, Terry, Julie and Ruby; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patty and Georgette.
