Mary Lou Farabaugh

Mary Lou Farabaugh, 91, Carrolltown, died Friday. She was born in Saint Benedict, daughter of the late George and Mary (Beverage) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick; and sons: Louis, Wayne and Mark Farabaugh. Surviving are sons, Tim and Allen Farabaugh; a daughter, Patty Boley; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was a graduate of John Carroll High School and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Katherine A. ‘Kate’ Pentland

Katherine A. “Kate” Pentland, 44, of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Deborah (Musselman) and the late Glenn Pentland. Surviving are her fiance, Dwayne Eger; two sons, Roman and Aaron; and her mother, of Altoona. All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.

Kristie L. Porta

Kristie L. Porta, 69, of Altoona, died Saturday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John Sr. and LaDonna (Davis) Young. Surviving are her husband, Ray; daughters, Crystal Selden and Melissa Huss; grandchildren: Amanda, Orin, Nicholas and Tyler; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Autumn Temple and her family. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Payton Selden; and her siblings: Kathie Bartley, LaDonna Lauver and John O. Young Jr. Friends will be received from 4 until the 6 p.m. service Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.

Raymond A. Blazer

Raymond A. Blazer, 94, of Duncansville, died Friday. He was born in Antis Township, son of the late Jess and M. Grace (Nearhoof) Blazer. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; daughters: Sherri Smith, Rita Sommer and Bonnie Blazer; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister; and five brothers. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Rab served in the U.S. Army during Korea. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m.

Robert A. Donley

Robert A. Donley, 71, of Lakemont, passed away Friday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late George and Barbara (Bratton) Donley. Surviving are his wife, Anita (Himes); a daughter, Autumn Pfahler (Bill) of Altoona; and in-laws: Miriam, Cathy, Larry, Randy and Tess Himes and Heather Keefer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis, in 2024. Bob retired as a welder and carman from Norfolk Southern. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles. All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
