Robert E. Brown, 89, of Houtzdale, died Monday at Maybrook Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center, Altoona. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Metzgar) Brown. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mabel (Lobb) Brown, whom he married on March 4, 1961, in Winchester, Va. Along with his wife, he is survived by his nieces and nephews: Maggie and Rodger, Missy, Jimmy and Vickie. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, James and (infant) Billy.
