Robert S. “Tyke” Yocum, 56, of Altoona, died Wednesday. He was born in Reynoldsdale, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Yocum. Tyke is survived by his life partner, Valerie; nine stepchildren; numerous step grandchildren; a brother, Travis; and sister, Tanya. He was preceded in death by his brother, David. Tyke was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School and was a painter by trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, especially at Raystown, and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
