Melissa Ann Kimberling, 52, Tyrone, died Saturday. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of Robert Sr. and Doris (Zanghi) Kimberling. Surviving are her mother; a sister, Catherine; a sister-in-law, Bonney; a nephew, Tyke; and a great-niece, Zelda. She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Robert Jr. and Jud. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at The Chapel, 817 W. 15th St., Tyrone, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at The Chapel. Barry A. Kumpf, 69, Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Kenneth Rhodes and Betty (Stahl) Kumpf. Barry is survived by his two children, Courtney Kumpf (Alex) of Taylor and Cory Kumpf (Megan) of Claysburg; former wife, Joyce Kumpf; sister-in-law, Mary Kumpf; half-brother, Bob Rhodes (Tammy); half-sister, Tyville Rhodes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Christopher Runk, 46, Altoona, died Friday. Surviving are the love of his life, Nina; a daughter, Jadakiss; bonus kids, Kaiden and Adilee; his mother, Cindi; a brother, Brian; and his grandson, Brooks. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leroy; and grandmothers, Nancy and Carol. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Overflow Church, Altoona, followed by a celebration of life at the Swiss Club. Sylvana L. Berry, 63, Duncansville, died Thursday after a brief illness. She was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, daughter of the late Erich and Liane (Freudenberg) Sauer. She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Koch (Justin) and Melissa Yon (Nicholas); her grandchildren: Oliver, Lukas and Katherine Koch and Theo and Wyatt Yon; and siblings: Matthias, Heike, Mario and Mandi.
