Shirley Ann (McEwen) Fink, 88, is off to her next great adventure! She left her earthly home on Friday, into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior. She was born in Commodore, Pa., daughter of Thomas George and Margaret (Cunliffe) McEwen. She was so blessed to have grown up in a loving environment surrounded by her parents and 13 brothers and sisters!
Shirley graduated from Tyrone High School and enjoyed a career as a floral designer. Most importantly, however, she was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Shirley was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Business and Professional Women of Pennsylvania (BPW/PA) organization. She will be remembered for many reasons, especially her emotional connections with the Tyrone community, her family, her friends and the positive impact she had on others.
She leaves a lasting legacy through her community involvement, kindness and the loving and caring way she treated others by writing thoughtful notes to anyone who needed encouragement.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William C. Fink; and their children: Karen Saathoff and John; Timothy Reeder and Camille; and Melissa Reeder, all residing in Austin, Texas; Lisa (Fink) Ritchey of Bellwood; William C. Fink II and Missi of Oakdale; along with eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
How lucky we've all been to have had someone like Shirley in our lives; so wonderful, that it makes saying goodbye so hard! It has been a blessing for those who've known her and have loved her!
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at noon on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, with pastor Susan Gingery officiating.
Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park.
Contributions in memory of Shirley may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
